Where a survey often starts
- Village and small-town schools on large grounds, where the meter can sit at the road and the supply pipe runs under playgrounds and fields to reach the buildings.
- Sites extended over many years, where newer blocks, modular classrooms or sports buildings are fed from older supply pipes.
- Schools on tight town plots, where a leak under a hall or corridor floor shows up as damp or a rising bill long before any water appears.
